8:30am Go-mug of black dark roast coffee.
10am Green smoothie! This one had 1 cup water, 2 ice cubes, 1 chopped apple with peel, 1 tsp each chia seeds and Kiss Me Organics matcha powder, and 1 tbsp each powdered dark leafy greens and organic lemon juice. It tasted very green. Good, but green! The consistency was a good thickness too. It made about a half of a litre of smoothie, which is a pretty nice amount for drinking throughout the morning.

The greens are leaves and stems from all kinds of vegetables that we dried and powdered from last year’s CSA box.
11:45am 1 slice freshly baked homemade whole wheat bread slathered with local butter and a glass of ice water.
12:30pm A bowlful of baby carrots and another glass of ice water (I had a second little bowl of carrots at 1pm – I think each bowl holds about 1/2 cup).
2:30pm Little glass of red wine.
4pm Movie theatre popcorn with butter, plus Pepsi and Twizzlers. Movie day splurge! Captain America – so good [also: unhealthiest. dinner. ever. :)].
6:30pm 1 glass ice water.

Today’s exercise: 45 minutes walking; strength training (15 reps of each using 8-lbs dumbbells: upright rows, bent-over rows, shoulder presses, goblet squats, overhead triceps extensions, bicep curls with calf raises, bench presses, chest flyes, inner / outer thigh leg lifts); one-minute plank hold.
