One of the interesting things about keeping a food diary is seeing the day-to-day sorts of changes we all go through. One day I’m eating tons by 3pm, other days I’ve hardly had a few bites of food until late afternoon, and other days I eat more normally. It’s kind of fun to see how we work!

Wednesday, November 20
Same weight & body fat as yesterday
Today I ate:
8am 1/2 cup Cap’n Crunch with 1/2 cup 1% milk – 125 calories. Whenever I eat “late” (and by “late” I mean “after 6pm,” because apparently I’m an old lady), I’m always starving the next morning, regardless of what I ate or how much I ate the night before. So strange!
8:30am Go-mug of black dark roast coffee – 0 calories
9:45am Single short shot of espresso (I have no idea what any of that means, but that’s what I had. It wasn’t nearly as tasty as I expected). and a glass of water – 0 calories
11:15am 1 apple – 75 calories
12:30pm 1 grapefruit – 50 calories
3:45pm Handful rice crackers – 50 calories (talk about a high-carb morning and afternoon!)
5pm Two slices of sharp organic cheddar cheese and a glass of ice water – 125 calories
5:15pm Baked pickerel with lemon and dill, and brown rice, plus a little fair trade organic dark chocolate (another late dinner, because we missed yoga this morning and didn’t want to completely skip it. Was so hungry by the time our meal was ready!) – 550 calories
6pm A couple glasses of water and some air-popped popcorn topped with local butter and pink Himalayan sea salt – 350 calories
