Midway check-in

I’ve been ill the past week with a myriad of ails – abdominal pain and sore throat and headache – so it’s been a strange week for me. But I woke up yesterday morning feeling significantly better! Felt like running around outside a bunch (I’m assuming because I’ve been so sedentary the last few days?), but I’m taking it slow. Don’t want to overdo things.

Meals:

8:30am French Toast (made with 1 slice homemade whole wheat bread dipped in a mixture of one free-range egg, sprinkle of cinnamon, and a dash of vanilla extract. Fried it up in some butter, then ate it hot with a dab more butte and a drizzle of pure maple syrup. Yum!) – 400 calories? Not too sure on this one.

9am Go-mug of black medium-roast coffee. This tasted so good after not having coffee for a few days (due to being ill) – 0 calories

2pm Rice crackers and a glass of red wine – 250 calories

3:45pm Whole wheat linguine with homemade tomato sauce and organic parmesan, plus two glasses of ice water, a mandarin orange, and 2 Lindor chocolates – 600 calories

4:30pm Another chocolate – 75 calories

5pm Rice crackers with three-onion dip (Vegenaise base) and a glass of ice water – 350 calories

6pm Another glass of ice water – 0 calories

Total calories: 1,675

Activity: 1 hour walking

Midway check-in time!

Weight: 123.8 lbs (down 2.4 lbs in five weeks)
Waist at smallest point: 29″ (down .25 inches)
Hips at largest point: 36.75″ (down .25 inches)
Waist-to-hip ratio: somewhere between 0.78 and 0.79. I’m going to go with no change here.
Body fat: 25.4% (down 0.6% body fat)
Body mass index: 24.2 (down 0.4 points)

Based on my initial goals, I have 7.6 lbs, 1 inch around the waist, 2.4% body fat, and 1.6 points on the BMI scale to go in the next four and a half weeks. Nothing has changed much in the past two weeks. But that’s okay – progress is still being made, albeit slowly!

Meals:

 8:45am Go-mug of black medium roast coffee – 0 calories. I miss my dark roast!

One of my favourite weekend breakfasts!

9:45am Pan-fried potatoes, scrambled eggs (1 or 1.5 eggs), and 3 slices nitrate-free hickory-smoked bacon – 650 calories

10:30 – 11:30am 2 glasses ice water and some leftover hashbrown potatoes (so good!) – 200 calories

1:30pm Lindor chocolate and some rice crackers with leftover dip – 250 calories

2:30pm Slice of homemade whole wheat bread with local butter – 150 calories

4:30pm Caesar salad with organic romaine lettuce, homemade Caesar dressing (Vegenaise base), homemade croutons made out of homemade whole wheat bread, parmesan, and grilled local naturally-raised chicken breast, plus a glass of red wine, another chocolate, and a mandarin orange – 600 calories

6:30pm Roasted salted pumpkin seeds (scooped out the seeds earlier today when I was roasting a whole pumpkin in the oven – great evening snack!), plus a couple more chocolates and some water – 400 calories

Total calories: 2,250

Activity: Had planned to go for a walk today but ended up doing a bunch of house work stuff, and then it was 5pm. No exercise for me today!
