Raw cinnamon crunch cereal

This week I decided to try a new raw recipe – cinnamon crunch cereal! I adapted it from Raw, Quick & Delicious, and even though I used honey instead of agave, and cut the amount of sweetener by half, it still tasted overly sweet. That’s the one problem with most raw food recipes: the amount of sweetener they recommend is overpowering (even though I love my sweets!). Will have to tweak this recipe some more.

Yesterday’s weigh-in was the exact same as the day before.

Yesterday I ate:

8:30am Go-mug of black medium-roast coffee – 0 calories

10:15am 1 big grapefruit – 75 calories

1pm Raw cinnamon crunch cereal (combined a couple tablespoons each buckwheat groats and raw almonds with a little bit of local honey, cinnamon, and a splash of water) – 200 calories

2:30pm 1/2 grapefruit – 25 calories

4pm Lindor chocolate and a few rice crackers – 200 calories

4:30pm Caesar salad (same recipe as yesterday – so delicious!) and 2 Lindor chocolates, plus a glass of ice water and some more rice crackers – 800 calories

5:30pm Another chocolate, rice crackers, an orange, and some water – 400 calories

Total calories: 1,700

Activity: 2.5 km running, 1 hour 30 minutes walking

Today’s weight: 123.8 lbs
Today’s body fat: 25.3%

Today I ate:

 8:30am Go-mug of black medium-roast coffee – 0 calories

10am Ezekiel sprouted grain wrap with homemade all-natural peanut butter and organic raspberry jam – 500 calories

11am 1 organic apple – 75 calories

12:45pm 1 glass water – 0 calories

2:30pm 1 glass water – 0 calories

3:15pm Grapefruit – 50 calories

4:30pm Homemade vegan sushi with nori, rice, shiitake mushrooms, avocado, spicy mayo, panko, and soy sauce, plus a 1/2 glass red wine – 600 calories

5:30pm Some homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and vegan peanut butter cookies (we couldn’t agree on a cookie to make, so we just made two types!), glass of water, and another 1/2 glass red wine – probably 800 calories? I have no idea. I’ll err on the higher side. Had an insatiable appetite today!

Total calories: 2,025
