Taking sick days

I had a little bit of a sore throat last Thursday and Friday, which I assumed was just a side effect from my Wednesday afternoon acupuncture treatment… until I work up on Saturday morning. Ugh.

For five days now I have been battling a sore throat, headache, queasiness, sneezing, and a bad cough. When one of them disappears, something new arrives in its place. Colds are rather fascinating (in an annoying sort of way).

At any rate, it also means I haven’t been tracking my food intake! But here are some of the things I’ve eaten that have made my cold feel a little better:

  • Chicken noodle soup
  • Hot honey lemon water
  • Saltine crackers
  • Orange juice
  • Ice water
  • Cherry Halls
  • Quiche Lorraine
  • Ginger ale
  • Chicken Caesar salad
