Food diary – Sun. May 18 & Mon. May 19, 2014

Sun. May 18

9am One glass water.

9:30am Go-mug of black dark-roast coffee, plus a big breakfast of homemade pan-fried hashbrown potatoes, nitrate-free bacon, and local free-range scrambled eggs.

11:15am One glass water.

12pm One glass chocolate milk.

1:30pm One glass water.

1:45pm Homemade bruschetta on a few slices baguette, plus four local roasted-in-shell peanuts.

2:15pm One glass water.

3:15pm One glass water.

4:30pm One homemade sushi roll with nori, sushi rice, avocado, shiitake mushrooms, panko, and spicy (vegan) mayo, plus a glass of red wine.

5:15pm 1/2 glass red wine, about a cup of in-shell peanuts, and 1/3 cup local ice cream (flavoured with beer!).

6:30pm One glass water.

Exercise: About 1 hour 15 minutes bicycling.

Mon. May 19

8:30am One mug green & white fusion tea and a bowl of nonfat plain organic yogurt with a spoonful of organic ground flax and a few spoonfuls of organic frozen blueberries.

11am One cup water and the leftover hashbrowns from yesterday.

12pm One cup water.

12:45pm Small bowl of homemade potato and leek soup (it’s a potato kind of day!).

Throughout the afternoon: A couple glasses of water.

5pm Homemade chicken Caesar salad and two mugs of tea.

6:45pm One apple.

No exercise for me today – I woke up this morning to discover that I had caught Mr. Science’s cold, so figured it was better to take it easy!
