Thurs. June 5
Another travel day! Port Elgin to Toronto.
9am Waffle with butter and syrup, plus some bacon and coffee.
Throughout the morning: Water.
1pm Roast beef sandwich that Grandma gave us for the road.
4pm A little glass of red wine.
7pm Tapas at the BEST TAPAS PLACE EVER: Patria in Toronto. Mr Science and I shared a jug of sangria and a bunch of tapas: piquillo peppers, bacon-wrapped dates, chorizo and salami plate, empanadas, patatas bravas, and churros.
Throughout the evening: water.
Exercise: About 4 or 5 hours of walking (exploring downtown Toronto!).
Fri. June 6
10am Breakfast at a little cafe: 3 soft-poached eggs on buttered whole wheat toast, some hashbrowns, bacon, coffee, and orange juice.
11am Tall black medium-roast Starbucks coffee.
Throughout the day: Some water.
2:30pm Large slice of prosciutto / mushroom pizza and a glass of Coke at a local pizzeria.
4pm Small glass of red wine.
6pm Two glasses red wine.
7:30pm Dry-rub wings, fried mushrooms, 1/2 pint beer, and some flourless chocolate cake at a local restaurant (everything was locally and naturally raised!).
Throughout the evening: water.
Exercise: Another 5 hours-ish of walking.
